Configuring Your A/D Board

Customize A/D Boards based on your operational needs & viewing preferences.

Written by Jessi McCombs

Overview

The Arrival & Departure (A/D) Board shows the flights your FBO is expecting, and you decide exactly what it displays. You can build as many boards as you need, for example a lobby board that hides customer names and a line-shack board that shows services and parking.

Each board has its own name, time frame, flight filter, visible columns, notes options and status sections. Changes show up in a live preview as you make them.

Where to find A/D Board settings

In X-1FBO, open the left menu and expand AD Board, then select ADB Settings. The settings page opens with a tab for each existing board (for example FBO BOARD, ARRIVALS, DEPARTURES and THIS WEEK) and a Create New Board button.

Create a new board

  1. On the ADB Settings page, click Create New Board. A new tab (for example "Board 5") opens with the ADB Settings panel on the right and a preview on the left.

  2. Under Board Name, enter a name, such as ALL FLIGHTS TODAY.

  3. Under View Settings, choose Portrait or Landscape, and Light or Dark.

  4. Choose the time frame and the flight filter from the two dropdowns.

  5. Optional: set Time From and Time To to limit the board to certain hours. Leave them at 00:00 and 23:59 to include the whole day.

  6. Arrange your columns. Drag any column you don't want shown from Active Columns to Inactive Columns. Drag columns up or down in Active Columns to change their order.

  7. Choose your Notes and Information options (see the reference below).

  8. Check the preview, then click Save. A confirmation appears, and your board is added to the AD Board menu.

  • Always Show Notes: displays a notes row under each flight.

  • Show A/D Notes: includes notes entered on the A/D record.

  • Show Services Notes: includes notes from requested services. These are marked with the service's icon.

Information

  • Highlight flights within the current hour: makes flights due in the current hour stand out.

  • Show Delayed / Not Updated Section: lists flights that haven't been marked complete. Choose how long they stay (0 to 8 hours, or always), or uncheck to hide the section.

Information options, Create URL, and the Delete and Update buttons

Display your board

  • In X-1FBO: expand AD Board in the left menu and click your board's name to open it full screen.

  • On a TV or kiosk: open the board's tab in ADB Settings, scroll to Security and click Create URL. Open that link in the display's browser. The bottom of the board shows when it was last updated.

Edit or delete a board

Open ADB Settings and click the board's tab. Change any setting, then click Update. To remove the board, click Delete. This can't be undone, so check you have the right tab open first.
