X-1 SinglePoint (S97) – APN

Having an issue with your S97 Pro connecting to the cellular network?

Sometimes, the S97 Pro can lose its saved APN network settings when it has been disconnected from the T-Mobile network for an extended period of time or if there are signal quality issues. This can result in the device being unable to connect to the internet or use network services until the APN settings are reconfigured. This issue is usually tied to the T-Mobile network which is the primary carrier for the X-1 SinglePoint hardware, but it can occur with other carriers depending on the APN.

What is an APN?

An Access Point Name (APN) is a configuration setting on your mobile device that allows it to connect to your carrier's cellular network. Think of it as a bridge between your phone and the internet.

When you insert a SIM card into your phone, the APN settings are used to establish a connection with your carrier's network, enabling you to access the internet, send multimedia messages (MMS), and use other network services.

Each carrier has its own unique APN, and these settings are usually pre-configured on your phone when you insert the SIM card. If you need to manually configure or change the APN settings, you can usually find the necessary information on your carrier's website or in the documentation that came with your SIM card.

For most of the X-1 SinglePoint devices they use a different APN than what you would use for a phone you carry day to day.

Below is how to reset the APN on your S97 Pro.

1. From the home screen on the SinglePoint device, click on the 3 dots on the top right

2. Select “Exit Scalefusion:

3. As soon as you click on “Exit Scalefusion”, CALL SUPPORT (786)725-5058 FOR THE PIN(786)725-5058

4. Once you press “OK” it will take you back to the main page, please swipe to the left & open Settings

5. Settings > Mobile Network:

6. Scroll down to the bottom & select Advanced:

7. Select Access Point Names:

8. Select + at the top of the screen:

9. Select Name:

10. Type in: iot.tmowholesale & Click OK

11. Select APN

12. Type in: iot.tmowholesale & Click OK

13. Click on the 3 dots at the top right:

14. SAVE:

15. Select the new APN:

16. Exit out of settings by clicking on the home button at the bottom center of the screen

17. Open Scalefusion App

18. Select the 3 dots on top right:

19. Select Wi-Fi Connection:

20. Turn Wi-Fi Off:

21. Go back to the 3 dots menu options & Select Toggle Mobile Data:

22. Turn off mobile data & turn it back on:
