Some line technicians may see unexpected messages or incorrect dates on their SinglePoint devices at the end of fueling. These issues are typically related and indicate a TCS hardware concern that requires service.
⚠️Symptoms
You may experience one or more of the following:
Fuel tickets reverting to an incorrect or very old date (commonly 7/5/2018) after fueling is completed.
A message on the SinglePoint device stating "The transaction date for that accounting period has been locked".
🔍Common Cause
This issue is most commonly caused by a failing internal coin-cell (watch-style) battery in the TCS Register. When the battery begins to fail, the register may lose accurate date and time information, which can result in accounting and ticket date errors appearing on SinglePoint devices.
🛠️ Resolution
The internal battery in the TCS Register must be replaced by a TCS technician.
After the battery is replaced, the date and time must be reconfigured directly on the TCS Register via its settings.
Verify the accuracy of all settings on the TCS Register after reconfiguring the date and time to ensure seamless operation.
This issue is not caused by a configuration or software problem within X‐1FBO and cannot be resolved through X‐1FBO settings or updates.
✅ How to Get Service

✏️Additional Notes
Continuing to use the system with a failing register battery may result in repeated date or accounting errors. Scheduling service as soon as these symptoms appear is recommended. Issues caused by a failing battery may initially appear sporadic but become more consistent as the battery continues to degrade.
