How to Cancel a Request?

Canceling a Request in X1 is pretty easy but first there are a few spots that we need to review in the Request in order to Cancel.

There is some logic that it would help to understand when you consider canceling a request. In some cases, if you try to cancel a Request you will find that you are not able to. Let's look at some of the examples and explain why:

Actual Arrival and Departure dates need to be blank.

Why do the arrival and departure dates need to be empty? Well if the aircraft has an actual arrival or an actual departure, which tell us that the plane is actually here. We want to make sure someone isn't canceling a Request that is already in progress.

Services need to be in a Pending or Canceled status only.

Same goes for a service, if you have a service that is already done well to the system, it looks like that plane may actually be here.

The Request may not have an invoice related to it.

This may be familiar, but if you invoiced it.... It may be here. Now you may have a circumstance where someone duplicated a Request and services are split or an Actual Arrival was completed on one but not the other. Just group the information on to one of the Requests and then you can cancel the other.

So now you have checked, and all the above conditions are covered so the Request can be canceled.

Once the option is selected the Request will move from the Open to Canceled Requests Tab

In case the Canceled Request needs to be Reopen, all that needs to be done is...

By Reopening the Request, it will appear back in the Open Request Tab.
