Aircraft Fees: Pricing Setup & Update

Steps on how to setup and update your FBO pricing for aircraft model and aircraft category

Written by Jeanette Diaz

X-1FBO offers two ways to manage aircraft pricing:

  • Aircraft Model Pricing: Assign different fees to individual aircraft models. Our team handles the pricing upload.

  • Aircraft Category Pricing: Group aircraft into categories (Light Jet, Medium Jet, Heavy Jet, etc.) and manage pricing rules directly in X-1FBO.

Below is an overview of each option and how to get started.

✈️ Option 1: Pricing by Aircraft Model (Bulk Upload)

If you want to assign different fees to individual aircraft models, X-1FBO can upload your pricing through our database team.

This process requires the official X-1FBO Aircraft Fees Template. The template contains the required aircraft identifiers and column structure needed for the upload. Customer-created spreadsheets or modified templates cannot be accepted.

How to get started

  1. Open a ticket through the X-1FBO Support Center and request the Aircraft Fees Template.

  2. Complete the template with your pricing information.

  3. Attach the completed file to your Support ticket.

⚠️ Important: Do not create your own spreadsheet or modify the template's required columns, headers, or formatting. Additional fee columns may be added when needed, but the original required columns must remain intact.

📋 Completing the Template

The template includes the following columns:

Column

Description

FBO ICAO

ICAO identifier for the FBO location receiving the pricing update.

ModelId

🚨 Required. Unique X-1 aircraft identifier. Do not modify or delete this value.

ModelICAO

Aircraft ICAO designator.

Manufacturer

Aircraft manufacturer.

ModelName

Aircraft model name.

Item Name

Exact name of the existing product or service in X-1FBO.

FuelMin

Minimum gallons required for the applicable fee to be waived. Leave blank or remove column if not applicable.

Important Requirements

  • FBO ICAO and ModelId are required. This is one of the main reasons why you must request our Aircraft Fees Template. The ModelId is how X-1 identifies the aircraft.

  • Product and service names must match X-1FBO exactly. For example, if the product is named "Hangar Fee" in X-1, use "Hangar Fee" in the template, not "Hangar" or "Hangar Daily."

  • Enter the applicable price for each aircraft. Leave the cell blank if you do not want to upload pricing for that aircraft.

  • Enter the required fuel minimum in the FuelMin column when applicable.

  • Do not remove or modify the original columns or formatting. You may add additional fee columns if you need to upload pricing for multiple products or services.

  • Each FBO location requires a separate file.

Prefer to just update your existing price rules?

Instead of working with the full X-1 aircraft database, you can request an export of your current aircraft fees to our Support Team. This allows you to update your existing pricing and return the file for upload.

⏱️ Upload Timeline

Please submit your completed template at least 10–14 business days before your requested effective date.

Our team will review the file, schedule the upload with our database team, and confirm when the update is complete. Once uploaded, log in to X-1FBO to verify your pricing.

🛩️ Option 2: Pricing by Aircraft Category (Self-Managed)

If you prefer to group aircraft by size or type, you can create categories and assign pricing rules directly in X-1FBO.

How to Get Started

  1. Create your aircraft categories (e.g., Light Jet, Medium Jet, Heavy Jet).

  2. Assign the appropriate aircraft models to each category.

  3. Navigate to Pricing > Exceptions.

  4. Create a pricing rule for each category and applicable product or service.

  5. Save your changes.

Need Help Assigning Aircraft to Categories?

If you have a large number of aircraft, our team can provide an export of the aircraft database with an additional column for category assignments.

Simply enter the appropriate category for each aircraft and return the completed file to Support. We can then upload the aircraft-category associations through our database.

Please note: Category creation and pricing rule configuration must be completed by your team in X-1FBO. Our assistance is limited to uploading the aircraft-category associations.

🔄 Updating Category Pricing

To change your rates:

  1. Navigate to Pricing > Exceptions.

  2. Locate the existing pricing rule.

  3. Choose one of the following:

    • Update the existing price, or

    • Add an end date to the current rule and create a new rule with the updated pricing.

  4. Save your changes.
