While we work hard on developing the ability to do partial payments with methods of payments other than cash. We have put together a workaround that you can use to allow your customers to split the charges on an invoice.

Split the fuel ticket qty

For this method, you will create two fuel tickets with split quantities.

Steps:

  1. First, you will need to record the starting and ending meter and the total fuel quantity of the original fuel ticket. Then, determine what is half of the total fuel quantity from the original invoice. In the example below, it's 225 gallons.

**You will need this information to be able to create two separate fuel tickets without causing meter breaks.

Original Ticket

2. Then, you will create your first ticket.

On the first ticket, you will need to enter the starting meter of the original fuel ticket under 'Meter Start', and under 'Meter End', you will enter the sum of the starting meter and half of the total gallons of the original ticket. (54420 + 225 = Meter End)

Example: Meter Start = 54420 Meter End 54645

Ticket #1

3. Create the second ticket

On the second ticket, your Meter Start will be the ending meter of Ticket #1, and your Meter End will be the ending meter of the original ticket.

Example: Meter Start = 54645 Meter End: = 54870

Ticket #2

Now that you have split the fuel quantities into two separate tickets you can link each of them to its own invoice and bill the customer using two different payment methods.
